A step-by-step routine for cleaning, drying, and storing your limited edition VixART Mustang in Periwinkle & Black so its one-of-a-kind finish stays in great shape.
Quick answer
Clean your VixART Mustang Periwinkle & Black with warm water and a mild, silicone-safe soap after every use, rinse thoroughly, pat dry with a lint-free towel, and store it separately in a cool, dry place. Because the color is a one-of-a-kind studio batch, treat it like a collectible: avoid abrasive cleaners and prolonged direct sunlight.
Why limited edition silicone needs a slightly different routine
The VixART Mustang in Periwinkle & Black is a one-of-a-kind color made in the studio, and once it sells, it will not be remade. That makes care less about replacing it and more about preserving the exact finish you chose. Standard silicone cleaning still applies, but the color is the part you cannot swap out, so skip anything abrasive or solvent-based.
Photos on the product page were taken with a phone camera, so the actual color is likely richer and more nuanced in person. Keep that in mind when you inspect the toy after cleaning: minor shade variation is part of the handmade character, not a defect.
What to avoid with a periwinkle and black finish
Avoid harsh household cleaners, bleach, and abrasive scrubs, which can dull the surface or alter the appearance of the color. Also skip prolonged soaking, since the toy is a finished silicone piece and does not need it. If you use the Mustang with a partner or with other toys, keep it separate from anything that could transfer color or grit.
Because the listing does not supply dimensions or material specifications beyond the silicone category, check the original product page for the exact size before you buy accessories or storage. Do not assume a fit based on photos alone.
Your step-by-step VixART Mustang care routine
- Rinse before and after each use: Rinse the Mustang with warm water before use to remove dust, then wash it thoroughly after use with warm water and a mild, silicone-safe soap. Common mistake: using hot water or dish soap with heavy degreasers, which can leave residue or dull the finish. Check the toy for any remaining film or lint before you set it aside to dry.
- Wash with a gentle soap and your hands: Apply a small amount of mild soap and gently work it over the entire surface with clean hands or a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive sponges or brushes. Checkpoint: if the soap does not rinse clean, switch to a simpler, fragrance-free formula.
- Rinse thoroughly and inspect: Rinse under running warm water until no soap remains. While rinsing, look over the surface for any spots you missed. Common mistake: skipping the base or any textured areas, which can trap residue. If you see any dull patches, rinse again rather than scrubbing harder.
- Pat dry with a lint-free towel: Gently pat the toy dry with a clean, lint-free towel. Do not rub aggressively, and do not leave it wet in a closed container. Checkpoint: make sure it is completely dry before storage, especially any recessed areas.
- Store separately in a cool, dry place: Place the Mustang in its own storage pouch or a clean, dry container away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it separate from other silicone toys to avoid any surface transfer or pressure marks. Common mistake: storing it in a warm bathroom cabinet or in direct sun, which can affect the appearance over time. Label or bag it separately so you do not accidentally mix it with other toys.
