A straight-talking FAQ on the VixSkin Tex dildo: its 5-1/4" x 1-9/16" size, how the texture feels, and what to know before first use.
Quick answer
The VixSkin Tex is a 5-1/4-inch-long, 1-9/16-inch-wide dildo made from VixSkin's skin-like silicone formula, which gives it a realistic feel and a textured surface. It suits anyone who wants a modestly sized, textured toy with a premium feel, and first use is straightforward with plenty of water-based lubricant.
What the VixSkin Tex texture actually feels like
VixSkin is formulated to look and feel like authentic skin, and Tex uses that same material. The surface has a subtle, skin-like quality rather than a glossy or slick finish. If you are used to smooth, firm silicone, Tex will feel softer and more organic. The texture is present but not aggressive, so it works for people who want some sensation without a heavily pronounced surface. Because the material is designed to mimic skin, it responds well to water-based lube and warms quickly with body heat.
Who the Tex size works for
At 5-1/4 inches in length and 1-9/16 inches in diameter, Tex sits in a moderate range. That makes it a reasonable choice for someone who finds larger dildos uncomfortable or intimidating, or for anyone who wants a textured toy for warm-up rather than a full-size main event. If you already know you prefer girthier toys, this may feel too small. Check the manufacturer's sizing chart if you are between sizes or unsure.
A note on color options and what is not specified
Tex is available in multiple color options, so you can choose a tone that appeals to you. The catalog does not list a harness compatibility or suction base for this model, so if those features matter, confirm before buying. Similarly, exact firmness is not stated in the product facts, so treat any firmness description as subjective until you feel it yourself.
Tex dildo FAQ
- What are the exact dimensions of the VixSkin Tex?
- The Tex measures 5-1/4 inches in length and 1-9/16 inches in diameter. These are the only size figures provided in the catalog; if you need insertable length versus total length, check the manufacturer's sizing page.
- How does the VixSkin Tex texture compare to smooth silicone?
- VixSkin is formulated to mimic real skin, so Tex has a softer, more organic surface than typical smooth silicone. It is textured but not extreme, making it a good middle ground if you want some sensation without a heavily ridged toy.
- What should I do before first use?
- Wash Tex with warm water and mild soap or a silicone-safe toy cleaner, then rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Apply a generous amount of water-based lubricant before use. Because VixSkin is a silicone formula, avoid silicone-based lubes unless the manufacturer explicitly says they are compatible, as they can degrade the surface. Patch-test any new lubricant on a small area first if you have sensitive skin.
- How do I clean and store the Tex dildo?
- Clean with warm water and mild soap or a dedicated silicone toy cleaner after each use, rinse well, and dry completely before storing. Keep it away from other silicone toys and sharp objects to prevent surface damage. Store in a cool, dry place.
- Is the Tex dildo suitable for anal use?
- The catalog does not specify a flared base or anal-safe design for Tex. If you plan to use it anally, choose a toy with a clearly flared base and follow safe practices. Do not assume Tex is anal-safe without confirmation.
